Ilgaz Taştekil, PhD Candidate

I completed my undergraduate education in the Department of Bioengineering at Marmara University, Faculty of Bioengineering. During this period, I worked in the genomic lab at the National University of Malaysia. As part of my undergraduate studies, I conducted a senior project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Pemra Özbek Sarıca, focusing on the computational investigation of the relationship between the EBV virus and SLE disease. Following my undergraduate studies, I pursued my Master's degree again with the Prof. Dr. Pemra Özbek Sarıca in the field of Bioengineering, where we conducted a computational study aimed at inhibiting OXA enzymes. Currently, I am actively pursuing my PhD in the Department of Bioengineering at Marmara University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Pemra Özbek Sarıca. Additionally, I work as a research assistant at the University of Health Sciences, engaging in collaborative research activities between these two universities. My current research interests focus on using bioinformatic approaches to investigate various disorders and their associated proteins.
